Meet Our Doctors

Terry Sellke, DDS, MS

Born in Chicago, Dr. Terry A. Sellke is a native Illinoisian. His fervor for Illinois extends to his academic background, having enrolled in the University of Illinois undergraduate and dental school. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1971. Two years later, he achieved a specialty degree in orthodontics. In 1974 he received a Master's degree in orthodontics, the same year that he opened the first office of what was to become Drs. Sellke and Reily, Ltd.

In 1980, Dr. Sellke became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He taught orthodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry for over 35 years, where he earned the titles of full professor, master clinician, co-clinic director, and master’s thesis advisor. Dr. Sellke lectures domestically and internationally on clinical orthodontics as well as another of his passions, applying business principles to the practice of orthodontics. Dr. Sellke taught more than 20 area orthodontists, but picked Dr. Reily to be his partner.

Experience and Affiliations

Dr. Reily, is a native of Des Plaines, IL and attended Elk Grove High School. By junior year, having worn braces himself, he realized that an orthodontic career offered an exciting opportunity to combine his interests in art and science. Dr. Reily completed his undergraduate education at Loyola University in 1975. He received his orthodontic training at the University of Illinois, where he graduated with honors in 1979. He continued on at Illinois, receiving his specialty and Master’s degree in 1982.

Since graduation, Dr. Reily continues to attend numerous courses and seminars on the practice of orthodontics. He has, like Dr. Sellke, served in all offices of the Lake County Dental Society. Both are members of the American Dental Association, the Illinois and Midwest Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Illinois Orthodontic Alumni Association.
